About
About GTA 6 Factz
A fan-made reference map for Grand Theft Auto VI, built in the open before the game is out so that the day it launches there is somewhere useful to put what people find.
What this site is
GTA 6 Factz is an unofficial, independent fan project. It maps the state of Leonida — Vice City and the regions around it — and collects Easter eggs, secrets, collectibles and landmarks as individual pages, each pinned to an interactive map. There are no accounts, no comments and no tracking; it is a static website.
What this site is not
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, and it does not speak for them. We use no Rockstar logos, artwork or screenshots. The base map you can pan and zoom is an original stylised illustration we drew as a placeholder; it is not Rockstar's map and is not meant to look like it.
Editorial policy
These are the rules every page on this site is written to. They are not aspirational; if a page cannot meet them, the page does not go up.
What counts as a source
Primary sources are material Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have published themselves: the official Grand Theft Auto VI website and Rockstar Newswire, the official trailers, official screenshots, press releases and earnings statements, and the PlayStation and Xbox store listings. Those are the only things we treat as establishing a fact about the game.
Reputable news outlets are cited for one narrow purpose: dated public events such as an announcement, a delay, pricing or pre-order details. Even then, we check the outlet's claim against the primary source wherever one exists, and the page says which is which.
What we will never use
The 2022 leak, anything datamined from it, insider claims and community-mapped coordinates are excluded outright and permanently. They are not ours to republish, a reader cannot check them, and a reference built on them falls apart the moment the real game arrives. If a claim exists only as a rumour, we either leave it out or label it a rumour and record it in our fact-check log — we never let it sit on the page dressed as a fact.
We also reproduce no Rockstar artwork, screenshots, logos or character likenesses. Every environmental illustration on this site was created for it, including AI-generated fan concept art. These images are decorative, not evidence of gameplay or geography. Quotes from any source are kept to a few words and attributed.
Observation and interpretation are kept apart
When a page describes something from a trailer, it says what is literally on screen first — “Trailer 2 shows …” — and only then gives our reading of it, marked as ours. Timestamps are not quoted unless we have verified them. This is why some entries here read as less exciting than the same detail elsewhere: we stop where the evidence stops.
Status labels
Every entry carries one of four labels, defined at the bottom of this page and shown on the entry itself. Confirmed is reserved for things Rockstar showed or stated outright. Trailer sighting means the thing is visible in official footage and our description of what it means is interpretation. Rumor means unverified. Speculation means the conclusion is ours, drawn only from official material.
The release date
The date shown across this site is November 19, 2026. It lives in a single configuration value, so when Rockstar's official announcement changes, the whole site changes with one edit. Treat it as the date we are currently working to rather than a promise from us. The full history, including previously announced windows, is on therelease date page.
Update cadence
There is no publishing schedule, because inventing news to fill one is exactly how a reference goes bad. Instead:
- Within about 48 hours of official news. A new trailer, a Newswire post, a date change or a platform announcement gets the affected pages revised, not a fresh opinion piece bolted on.
- A standing review every few weeks. We re-read the official material and re-check entries whose status is softer than “confirmed”, which is most of them right now.
- Continuously after launch. Once the game is playable, “trailer sighting” becomes “confirmed” or gets corrected, the placeholder map is replaced with a surveyed one, and every coordinate is re-checked.
Whatever the reason for a change, the visible “updated” date on the page moves with it. That same date goes into the structured data search engines read and into theRSS feed, so the feed is a reliable way to see what actually changed.
Corrections
We would rather be corrected than be confidently wrong. If you can show that something here is inaccurate — ideally with a link to the official material that contradicts it — we want to hear about it, and a correction is a normal outcome rather than an embarrassing one.
Corrections contact: a published contact address is being set up and will appear here. Until it does, this line is a placeholder rather than a working address, and we would rather say so than print something that bounces.
When an entry changes, we edit it in place and move the updated date. Once the game is out, entries that turn out to be mistaken get fixed rather than quietly deleted — the mistake and the fix are both part of the record.
