Life in Leonida

A plain account of Grand Theft Auto VI's systems, built only from material Rockstar Games has released. Every topic separates what is confirmed from what the trailers merely show, and says out loud what nobody knows yet.

How we decide what counts as known

A detail is confirmed when Rockstar Games has stated it or shown it in a way that leaves no room for reading between the lines. A detail is atrailer sighting when it is visible in official footage but what it means for play is our interpretation — a car on screen is not a confirmed drivable vehicle, and a creature in a swamp is not a confirmed hunting system. Anything further isspeculation, labelled as such, and anything that exists only as a rumour either gets that label or stays off the site.

We do not treat the 2022 leak, datamines or insider claims as evidence. That rules out a lot of the noise, and it is why several sections here end with an honest "not yet known" rather than a confident paragraph.

How we label entries

Status:Confirmed

Frequently asked questions

What has Rockstar actually confirmed about GTA 6 gameplay?

Less than the internet suggests. Rockstar Games has released two trailers, a set of official screenshots and a small amount of website copy. Anything beyond that — mission structure, progression systems, multiplayer plans — has not been described by Rockstar, and every page in this section says so plainly instead of guessing.

How is each gameplay page organised?

Three blocks, in the same order every time: what is confirmed, what is visible in the trailers but open to interpretation, and what is simply not known yet. Putting the unknowns in writing is the point — it is the part most previews skip.

Do you use leaked footage or datamined files?

Never. The 2022 material and anything datamined from it is excluded on principle. Everything here comes from what Rockstar Games has published itself, and each page lists its sources.

Will these pages change once the game is out?

Substantially. Once anyone can play, "seen in trailers" becomes "confirmed" or gets corrected, and the unknown sections shrink. Edits are made in place and the visible updated date moves with them.

Where should I start?

If you want the people first, read the character pages. If you want the world first, start with vehicles and wildlife — they are the two areas the official trailers show most clearly.
